Wi-Fi QR code generator

Make a Wi-Fi QR code so guests join your network without typing the password. Branded for cafés, restaurants, salons and hotels.

What it does

A Wi-Fi QR code holds your network name and password. Guests point their camera at it and the phone offers to join the network, with nothing to type.

This is a static code: the details are stored inside the code itself, so it works without the internet but cannot be changed after printing. If you change the password, print a new code.

How to make one with QR Crown

  1. 1

Open the QR Crown home page and scroll to “Make one code”.

  2. 2

Pick “Essentials”, then Wi-Fi, and type the network name and password (leave the password empty for an open network).

  3. 3

Choose a look (brand clean, sticker, classic or art) and your colours. QR Crown checks that the code still scans.

  4. 4

Save it and download the code as PNG or print-ready SVG.

Questions people ask

Is my password visible to anyone who scans it?

The password is inside the code, so anyone who scans it can join the network. Use a separate guest network for the code, not the one your business systems use.

Can I change the password later without reprinting?

No. Wi-Fi codes are static, because phones read the network details straight from the code. A new password needs a new code.

Does it need an app?

No. Current iPhone and Android camera apps read Wi-Fi codes and offer to join.
